Surfing Info:
This is one of the most popular surfing beaches in the UK. There are breaks all along the beach, depending on the tide and the sand formation. At the north east end of the beach, New Polzeath is less crowded.  Life guards patrol the beach during Easter weekend 14 - 17 April 2006 and from April 29th till September 30th 2006.

Suitable for:
Beginners to experienced surfers. Dangers: Although generally a safe beach, there can be large surf with rips and children should not be allowed in the water with inflatables. Rocks to the left and right of the bay at varying stages of the tide. Tides: Surfable at all tides, better at Low to mid tide.

The bay has a surf shop selling and renting a wide range of surfing boards, wet suits, and accessories open 7 days a week in season.
