Beaches
The golden sandy beach at Polzeath is ideal for families on holiday patrolled by lifeguards it offers a safe environment for kids and adults. This beach is dog free during the summer months.
Polzeath Beach: Ogilvie overlooks the delightful sandy Polzeath beach, popular with surfers and swimmers, and patrolled by lifeguards from April to September to ensure a safe bathing environment.
Daymer Bay: On the other side of the headland is a wide sandy beach on the Camel estuary which is backed by sand dunes and a golf course. Daymer bay is ideal for windsurfing and kite sports. The water is shallow and ideal for bathing and very popular with youngsters who love to explore its rocky pools for crabs and fish.
Rock: Long stretches of sandy beaches washed by the tidal waters of the Camel estuary. The calm waters of the estuary provide for one of the major watersports centres in Cornwall. Activities such as sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, rowing and canoeing are all very popular.
