Chill out: Ogilvie overlooks Polzeath's wonderful sheltered sandy beach ideal for sunbathing. The kids can build sand castles, surf body board, fish from the headland or search for crabs in the rock pools. Polzeath Beach has life guards on patrol, and is cleaned regularly making it ideal for families. For beaches click here

Surfing, body boarding & windsurfing: are very popular in Polzeath and you can learn to surf here too. Local surf schools can help you get started, teaching individuals and families wanting to improve their surfing skills.

Sailing: Rock is only a short drive away and offers sailing facilities for all levels.

Golfing: St Enodoc Golf Club is nearby located on high sand dunes with stunning sea views. Also, Roserrow Golf and Country Club, has a golf course, swimming pool, fitness suite and tennis courts.

Walk on the National Trust Coastal walk which is near to the house and along this beautiful rugged coastline.

Cycle on the Camel Trail: this spectacular track runs from Wadebridge through Padstow to Bodmin, and Poley's Bridge. At fifteen miles, this offers a great day's ride with excellent local pubs and restaurants along the way.

Port Isaac: historic fishing village which surrounds a picturesque harbour from which you can book fishing or scenic trips. Fishermen deliver their daily catch of fish, crab and lobster and various other delicacies. Nearby is the picturesque village of Boscastle and the historic village of Tintagel.

Eating out is a popular activity - only a few minutes drive to a range of cafes, restaurants, pubs in Polzeath. Or alternatively visit Padstow the home of Rick Stein’s famous restaurant, bistros, cafes and great pubs only a short ferry ride from Rock.
